Because if a man hurt another man then the second man would do something or say something to hurt the first man. This might go back an forth for a while. They could become enemies or friends based on how much they really hurt each other.

Women are different, but most men don't realize the differences. On the other hand what would one of your female friends do if you hurt them. I expect their response would be a vicious one.

The reaction of hurting someone that hurt you in the past is human nature, more like an animal reaction. Personally, if I do not react right away, I just let it go because it is not worth it. Others are calculators and patiently wait for the opportunity to jump on it and hurt the other as a from of revenge. All of this applies to men as well as women.

Those who want to learn from past hurts use that very same anger to accomplish personal growth that leads them to a better life. Lets not ignore that the purpose of relationships is to learn and not repeat same mistakes on the next one. It is not healthy stay in a bad relationship and it is even worst to take revenge. So much wasted time!

That's their way of dealing with emotions. Us as women we cry but men on the other hand think they have a big ego to protect so they run from there pain instead of dealing with it. It doesn't make it any easier they figure revenge is the key but deep down inside there hurting.

Not exclusive to men, women do it also.

Hurting in the same way is just a lack of originality.

If the guy isn't interested in resolving problems but just revenge,.....move on.

Men dont only think this way, women do to. Its just encoded in most of our dna. If someone hurts us, we obviously want to retaliate its like a natural reflex. Plus it makes you feel better to get revenge, that way you can rest better at night...

Some women do too...revenge seems to be a (negative) human trait for many...personally, I wouldn't want the karma...what goes around, comes around...the cosmos will take care of justice for any wrong doings...I don't want backlash because I felt I had to have personal revenge too...it's not worth it.

Well first off it just isn't just men, it's all of us at one point in time in are life. Because it is part of are human nature and Sinful desire to hurt someone because they hurt us. The good news is that it doesn't have to be that way! Jesus died on the cross for are sinful nature! So, Do good to and pray for those who persecute you. Love your enemies. Matt. 5:38-42. Jesus said: You have heard that it was said, "Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth." But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic (cloths), let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. Matt. 5:43-45. Jesus said: You have heard that it was said, "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father (God) in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Rom. 12:14. Bless those who persecute you;bless and do not curse. In other words don't let someones sinful nature change our behavior. Matt. 5:10-12 Jesus also said: Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Their over-bloated ego won't allow them otherwise!
They want to prove they are alot tougher than a woman period.
My partner tried that with me with a small issue in earlier part of our marriage. (A disagreement with his blood (my in-laws). We're Greek but, my heritage is Spartan Greek. I showed him my style. He knows better now.

This is how some women feel also.

I think those people haven't really grown up yet.....they want revenge.

Revenge doesn't solve anything it just makes things worse.
