A few months ago I got involved with a group of pagans, being pagan myself I thought nothing of it. However after a few months I realized that those who run the group are actually satanists or something similar. I hate to say they are a satanic cult because of all the hype that goes with that. Rather these people believe in showing others what they can achieve when they throw away all morals and values and honor their inner darkness.

Yeah free them up and get them to see the "truth" and then slowly take over their lives. Members begin with high values and slowly throw them away. Members begin to only associate with other members of the group. Members have to "work" more and more despite only having forty hour a week jobs. Members are often so tired that it becomes hard to make sense of their emails. Thankfully I left this group. Since then they have had very little contact with me but what do I say to the good people who are being taken advantage of to get them to see whats going on?

As much as I would love to say sanist's are evil, I cannot. They are a group that divulges in the prospect of the belief in that there is no savior, but not really worshiping the "devil" either. Their thought of the devil is more like centering a religion around lust, passion, greed, divulging in what man so wants to be rid of, while they embrace a humans desire. Although some take it a bit too far.
But this is how some people live, and out side of the group their usually nice ordinary people. When you joined, perhaps you didn't ask enough of what this group entailed and that would have saved you alot of time. Or further did you think the newest members had known what this group was all about and chose to be in it anyway. Everyone has their own path to take, and like you they can learn from their experience in that group, and grow. Some may found what they were missing, and like you they accidentally stumbled on the wrong path for their life. But I bet you did learn something about who you were from that group, did you not?
But if the "cult" you had been in really was doing the wrong things, or sacrificing a live animal, then it will be taken to a more serious level. Try writing (notice that I did not say e-mail) to the newer group members saying you would like to take them out to lunch and really DISCUSS what goes on in that group. Then at lunch you can see what they do not like about the cult and if they feel if it is wrong too, if so maybe they wish to disconnect themselves from it. But you cannot save someone, it's their own choices, but you can help them be AWARE of their surroundings and choices.
Well I hoped this helped a little, feel free to e-mail me if you have more questions or would like to discuss it further,
Best of luck!

There is little that you can do. If they really are as (for lack of a better word) evil as you descibe the less you meddle with them the better. If they really are interested in only their own gain then i would be hesitante to label them as true pagans, and satanists would probably be a better title for them. You could try getting some of the other good people out but they might reject you. I would just try to find a new group of true pagan to work with.

It's their lives, and you have no right to impose on them your beliefs. Besides, satanists aren't evil, they simply have a different outlook on life. I've met a few satanists and found them to be very charming people.

There is very little you can do for your friends. they are the ones who must evaluate their faith, and decide that it doesn't work, or that it doesn't work ethically.

Had you asked I would have told you all those things before you tried the group. Now turn them and yourself to Christ, go and sin no more.

Get out of there. Go to a church, repent and follow God's word.
