Why is it that we bend over backwards for you but you don't care or aknowledge what we do for you?

I see it happen everyday between my mother and father. My mom does so much for him but he is very ungreatful and just keeps asking her to do more and more and never tells her thank you or shows his appreciation. I mean a thank you once in a while would be nice.

Thats a bit of a generalisation. There are some nice guys out there, likewise some that arn't worth bothering with.
There will always be people (male and female) who lack respect for others. Respect yourself and rise above it.

I think we look way too hard for faults in each other and low and behold - we find them.
Bev B - perhaps that's true. On the other hand, how often to girls give guys credit for what is done for them?
To stereotypical, metaphoric examples just to make a point.
No credit for flowers - that's a minimum and even if its unexpeced, the thought is "What trouble is he trying to get out of now?"
Mowing the lawn - that IS housework - I'm happy to do the laundry in trade so to speak. I agree that laundry isn't 'women's work', but by the same token, why is mowing the lawn still 'men's work'?
Mother's Day - galactic importance - flowers, dinner, breakfast in bed, don't lift a finger
Father's Day - here's your annual tie... and the honey do list.
Gross and unfair generalities? Misogynistic even? Not any more than the gross generalization and misandronistic thinking. Its just a matter of perspective - right or wrong, but either we are BOTH right or we are BOTH wrong in my opinion. So which is it? Are you making gross generalizations (because I am) or am I not making gross generalizations (because you aren't either)?
It works both ways - men my not be very appreciative, but women are just as unappreciative by the same definition. The difference is in the specific things we do for each other and results may certainly vary between couples or course.
Women wonder why their guy doesn't appreciate the new pink polo shirts she bought for him - after all, she would appreciate them, why doesn't he? (he doesn't like pink as much as you do and no that does not mean he's homophobic. he also wonders if she bought them for him or to make him look like a good metro-sexual trophy when they go out) Men wonder why their girl doesn't appreciate the new entertainment center he just set up for her - after all, he would appreciate it, why doesn't she? (she does care about the difference between dolby 5.1 and 7.1 surround and doesn't play video games and no that doesn't mean she doesn't know how to have fun. she also wonders if he did that for her or just to have a rad place to play vids on the new big screen)
Seems that based on the way you frame the question, however, that you are simply looking for arguments to support the conclusion you have already made. When unsupported conclusions are made based on gender, isn't that called sexism?

Some men wern't ment to say thankyou even though it wouldn't kill them. Not ever guy is like that, I love my girlfriend very much and aknowledge evey small thing she does.

ur focusing on one or a couple of bad experiences that you have had. you cant just classify all guys because of that. for the guys who dont appriciate what woman do are just jackasses and they dont deserve you but as for the ones who do stop giving them a bad name.
and do you monitor ur parents 24/7 ? you dont know what they do unless that anwser is yes. they could be mr and mrs smith behind your back. all kinds of things happen behind closed doors you just dont know he might be giving ur mom endless foot massages while you sleep you just never know...
