I was going to say Irfanview, also.

However, you can crop photos already with your computer.

Open your picture with "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer." At the bottom you'll see little icons. There's one on the right that looks like blue and green scenery. It opens it in "Paint" for editing.

On the left-side, click on the rectangle (the dotted rectangle). That will give you a little plus-sized cursor. Place the plus-sized cursor at the top-left corner where you want to begin cropping, and you'll see that you're creating a new box.

After that, click on "Edit" and then "Cut."

Then click on "File" and then "New."

When prompted to save changes, click "No."

Then click on "Edit" and then "Paste."

Now, you'll have your new cropped photo!

XnView, Irfanview, The Gimp, and Paint.net all crop and are free. Another viable option is to go to snipshot.com which is an online site that will crop your photos! It's free as well.

Buy Serif's PhotoPlus 11.0 from their web site or call them [(800) 557-3743] to see if they are running any specials right now.

As good as the expensive programs with an awesome tutorial, technical support, and is less than 1/4th the price.

Go to Picasa and down load their free image editing software. In addition to cropping you can do all sorts of image editing. I use it frequently instead of Photoshop because it's much simpler, although not as extensive. But it's free.
