This will confuse people but the firsdt word that comes to mind is "Bhatkal". Which is a country in India with amazing Masjids and whatnot. UI kinow quite a few Bhatkally(They are Navawaythi people) and they are just so Muslim and in a good way. They pray five times a day, only eat halal meat, and are basically very peaceful nice people. And they kindof influence me on Islam(i am Muslim they are not pushing the religion on me they just are a good example for me to follow) and ya as soon as I hear Muslim I instantly think bhatkally

How did we get to the point that following a religion can cause such a division in the world.
For many reasons, some appropriate, some not, a religion has divided this world. This is a great example of how religion has not been the most helpful thing we've come up with.

Ehh? Most Muslims aren't Arabs. Most of the world's population of Muslims live in Central Asia.
I think of school because I had to take a class on Islam.

Unity and peace, Family and worship. Because that is what Islam has brought to my life, that is the way Islam makes me feel.
Nicolette I'm Muslim and not an Arab, I'm Scottish through and through. There are millions of Muslim who are not from the middle east or Arab. There are plenty of Arab Christians and Jews too. But hay way to go with the stereotype that never gets old......

I think of the sadness of Mohammad.
How must he feel to see his beliefs turned into a creedo of hate and murder by a few zelots.
Mohammad taught equality of the sexes. Today, muslim woman are treated little better than property.
Mohammad taught that Jews and Christians were "people of the book" and should be treated with respect. Today one of the primary missions of muslims is the extermination of the Jewish faith and people.
He and Christ must both wonder, "What have I wrought".

I get scared, Because of personal reasons that I can't mention online... lets say some members of my family were killed by Muslims because of their beliefs. and this is not a lie... I know people won't believe it but that is what happened to me personally.
I would appreciate it if you people just don't give thumb downs to this one answer of mine... it is a very sensitive issue for me. Please do understand that I by no means am trying to makeup things to make Islam look bad... this is truth and reality of my life.

Terrorism is the first thing that I think of when I hear muslim or islam because muslims are best known for such things as cutting the head off innocent tied up hostages, bombing bus loads of innocent people, and shooting children in the back in school.
