The Mailman noticed that "Mr.Walter" hadnt been getting his mail out of the box, so he went in to check on him. thats when he found Mr.Walter hanging from a rafter above a puddle of water. The police came in and saw that there were no chairs or anything for Mr.Walter to stand on so they arrested the mailman on murder. They then brought in a detective to confirm it. As soon as the detective walked in, he ruled the death as a suicide. How did he know? and how did mr.Walter do it?

I would have said he stood on the block of ice. But seeing as the mailman already got curious why he wasn't getting his mail, i surmise Mister Walter was already dead for several days. Unless Mr. Walter gets a lot of mail everyday, it would have taken a good number of days for the mailman to have noticed. By that time, the water from the melted ice would have evaporated already. So I'm kinda stuck with what really happened. Anyway, taking everything as it is, the most probable would be that he stood on the block of ice and let it melt. I think the scenario at the beginning should be different though.

The detective must have saw the suicide note that read " Good by crule world. Your heart is cold and hard just like the block of ice I'm standing on until it melts and I am slowly choked to death by the rope around my neck" signed Mr. Walter
It's to bad the police didn't think to read the note. It could of saved the mail man from having to go to jail and get his pretty boy face kicked in by his hardcore cellmates.
Moral of the story-- Eat your spinach so you'll be as strong as Popeye!!!!
