You can't.
You need more information on the ACTUAL OWNER to find out that information.

The credit limit is not related to the account number. I have had the same credit card number for 8 years, but my credit limit has changed almost every year.
If it is your card, you can look on your monthly statement to see your credit limit and the amount of available credit remaining. You can also call the toll-free number on the back of the card, and after identifying yourself (usually by entering your date of birth, postal code, or some other info) an automated system or a real person will tell you the credit limit.
If it is not your card, there is no way to know the credit limit. If you are worried about customers not having sufficient credit to cover their purchases with your company, you should only accept cash from those customers, or certified cheques from a bank.

This question sounds shady to me. If it's your card, the statement usually lists the credit limit? Are you trying to get information about another person's account?

You can't. Credit limits change over time, but the number stays the same.

The local police can help you with that information. You have to take the card in, though.
