How will Vista streamline my business and make work easier?

Don't upgrade until the bugs are worked out (usually a few months after release) and you are able to determine hardware and software compatability. At that point it becomes a simple cost/benefit ratio.

I don't think it is worth upgrading. If your computers cannot handle Vista, you will have to buy new machines and not just the operating system. You may also have some software incompatibilities on Vista depending on what kind of work you do. Just not worth it, I would wait a few months. I'm sure most businesses will not upgrade until a few years after Vista is released. It won't streamline your business or really make work easier in any way. Applications will do that, not the operating system.

Check out this article of a guy who used Vista for a month. One important line in the article was "I don’t really see a need for the average user to upgrade as XP is solid too. There isn’t anything I see as a “must have” for Vista, but I am sure that will change as 3rd party vendors add new products to the mix."

After having worked with computers and programmed in several languages, the biggest thing I've learned about Microsoft is to wait before getting their latest release. Usually the first version or two have bugs that get worked out by early users, and the updated patches make for smoother running.

Not really a direct answer to your question, but sooner or later an upgrade will be needed. The sooner you upgrade, the better it might look for your business, and the sooner you will become familiar with the new operating system that is sure to become the standard.

Unless your company is called Microsoft, Vista won't benefit you in the least. Upgrade only if you like pointless, frustrating, expensive failures.

Good question. If you ask MSFT, it's revolutionary. In reality, it'll probably be much less than that.

If your system(s) are stable and running well, don't be in any hurry to upgrade. As you replace PCs, then you can gradually work in Vista.

lol,
Vista is reported to have LOADS of flaws in its firewall protection, it has already been hacked to pieces, before its launch!
All new OS need to be assessed, so NO, it is not a good idea, in fact it is a stupid idea, unless you want your small business to fail!
Wait at least a year for Microsoft to iron the bugs out.
