this depends on the church, but the money should be divided up between staff salaries, operating expense, denomination membership dues, and building costs. There may be a few other costs as well.

Additional money can go into a discretionary fund, for the clergy to give to others in need, and to other charities that the church supports.

Some years ago my parents lived in the same neighborhood as Jerry Falwell, so I know exactly where the money donated to Thomas Road Baptist Church went. It went to the second biggest house and largest property.

Depends on the church and the donation. Most churches offer many different programs for their communities, like single moms programs, feed the hungry, etc.

it depends on which church you attend. Pentecostal and southern baptist and otherborn again religions give their money directly to their preacher. other churches, with ordained munisters , the money for the minister or priest's salary comes from head office and the donations pay for upkeep of the church buildings and for charitable needs, like hospice support and food banks.

Depends on the Church. The reputable ones publish an annual report. Ask your favorite pastor - he will be happy to tell you where the money goes.

If you are going to give, it's none of anyones buisness what the church does with the money. People give as a reponse to the teaching of the word of God. If they are not teaching you, you don't owe them a thing. But if they are teaching you, the Spirit should be the emphasis on what you give. What happens afterwards is not one of your concerns. If you think that they are crooks, you go somewhere else.

That's the way it's supposed to be.

In honest churches, it goes to paying the preacher, deacons, organist, rent, lights, power, maintenance, etc.
In dishonest churches, it goes into the preachers pockets....just look up Benny Hinn, Kent Hovind, Jim and Tammy Faye Baker, Jimmy Swaggert, etc.
