Im 12 and able to date. Is this normal?

i love this idea of my parents giving me the ok to date, but, are they making the right choise?

I think that they are showing an open minded vision of the world and, mostly, they TRUST you, which is great!!! They know that have a great girl and that she has values and knows how to react to many situations. I would say that you are very lucky!!!! Your parent's are great and they know you can handle the responsibility, so just take care and enjoy your life!!!

Define dating?? Your parents may be letting you date, but make sue you know what the limits are. When I was your age dating was okay as long as I was with a lot of people and not just the guy or I had him over to my house to watch a movie. I think your parents are trying to let you have some freedom and you are being responsible by wondering about it..I think that you sound like a smart girl whose parents trust you and that is why they know when they say you are allowed ot date it will stay within the limits of a 12 year old girl. Its not normal for a 12 year old to be dating. Your parents must be young themselves or they dont care much about you. Why would they say its ok to date when your not even mature enough for dating yet. Focus on school and leave the so called dating scene alone until your 21..

Then again for you to question their decisions prove that you may be the more mature one in the family but still no dating and I mean it.....

sure i did it just as you describe and you know what i can remember those times now. As if i was up in the air watching myself on the little dates skating on a patch of ice with veronica miles holding hands .
nothing ever came of it but in this sad miserable life i can look back and remember all those girls and the fun we had on our little dates.

sure your parents are smart this is a fantastic idea you go on and have fun and remember this time oh i don't think you will forget ever anyway so i don't need to write remember.

12 is entirely too young to date.
Of course, it's your parents decision but you being 12 don't know the first thing about relationships. I'm not demeaning you in any way but you just aren't old enough.
Focus on friends and sleepovers and book reports, not boys.

I don't know. It's cool that they trust you, but I wouldn't do the single date thing at your age. I would rather you do the group dating for at least 4 or 5 years.

At your age you should start going to dances and parties where guys and girls can develop some social skills. But no dating.

The earliest a girl should start dating is at 14 or 15.

nah, 12 is too young... im telling you... when i was in grade school.. like noone counts those relationships because there not really that serious. its more like " i'm going out with jimmy!" yeah cool..... but if u want to have a title with another guy go for it. but i really wouldnt do anything more than maybe just go to the movies or just see eachother in school.

I think it is too young. It is just better to wait to start dating.
