The qualifications of a prophet are:
Anyone who has spoken the words that God has given him, and said subject has happened, is a TRUE prophet of God (Deuteronomy 18:17-19).
Anyone who has said that something would happen, and it HAS NOT happened, is a FALSE prophet, and you should not fear him/her (Deuteronomy 18:21-22, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15).
No one in this current world is a prophet, and anyone, male or female, who claims to be a prophet, or claims to be able to heal sicknesses, is not telling you the truth, and is scamming you.
If you are following such a person, get out now while you still have a chance for real redemption.

1. Must prophecy something that actually comes true, and must not have been possible from random chance alone.
2. Nobody has ever met these qualifications. Sorry, not Nostradamus, Jesus, Malachi, Sylvia Browne....none.

A prophet is one who proclaims God's truth. Any Christian can do it today because God's truth is found in God's Word and does not require divine revelation as it did before Bible days.

Strictly speaking, a prophet is one who delivers messages from God. One who could predict future events would be a clairvoyant. Prophets aren't neccessarily clairvoyants.
