This doesn't sound mental. I used to do things like that all the time! One time I was making chocolate milk. I put the powder in the cup, walked over to the faucet, and filled the cup with water, not even realizing what I just did. So everyone in the kitchen starts cracking up, and I will never live it down. I have many many more stories where that came from lol.

Waaahhh! Yes, you're mental. Just the fact that you feel the need to share this mundane experience with the rest of the Yahoo!Answers community illustrates that. You might seriously consider seeking professional help.

Oh my god! How many times have I done this sort of thing hehe The worst time for my lapses in concentration was when I was pregnant, I just could think straight. I used to put things in safe places and forget where the safe place was, I even put milk in the kettle to boil instead of water once, I was all over the place. Seriously, don't fret, it happens to the best of us!

It's not totally abnormal. Your mind was just elsewhere. I've done the same thing before where I've put something in my food that doesn't belong, but I know I was totally side-tracked by something else. Don't worry about it. When you start breaking the law then you should be worried.

No you are not mental cause of that. I think everyone has done that at least once in there life, and you mother really did not need to say that you were on drug, i bet if you mother really looked back she could find something that she had done, so don't worry about being mental, cause that is not adnormal.

I'm a nurse. Your mind was obviously somewhere else, this happens to all of us. I think if everyone on Yahoo tell you something funny we once did, you would think we could be not all there either. You are normal, don't worry about it, take care.
