Mostly trig, algebra and some calculus.

You will calculate the area of contaminated soil,

direction of groundwater flow using triangulation.

The volume of contaminated and impacted areas, volume of water wells,

Calculus for fate transport calculations.

Some of this is used via various computer programs, but a basic understanding of how to use it/where it came from is a good basis for being able to explain it to your client that has to spend $1,000,000 on a cleanup.
