I just got a new computer with a dvd burner. I've never had a computer with any type of burner on it before, and I was wondering, what's the best FREE program to use?? Since I'm a beginner, a guide would also be great. Please use baby steps. thanks to all who answer!!

That's a pretty good all-around dvd burner, and it's free. The website and help files should be able to walk you through the basics. It won't "author" a dvd however, which is what it's called if you're going to be making homemade dvd videos with menus.
Depending on how much of a beginner you are, you may be better off investing in a retail package, Nero Burning Rom and any of the Roxio programs come to mind.
