I would be glad to be rid of them if they were that much of a nut case. The last thing I would need is some nutcase trying to use emotional blackmail on me with crap like that.

I think that they have more problems than just cheating. Sounds like to me they might need medical attention. Maybe they are craving attention. If the person they cheated on isn't paying a lot of attention to them they start cutting so that way they do get the attention of the individual. I would tell someone about the cutting issues, like a parent or doctor. dont let it continue. No good can come of cutting

Did you ever wonder how regretful this person would be if they had not gotten caught? Sounds kinda phony to me. If you hadn't caught him he would still be cheating. Kick this dog to the curb, he's a cheater that doesn't respect you at all. You deserve better. Good Luck.

Cutting them self? what purpose does this serve.

Just because they're regretful doesn't mean they have to harm them self.

I cheated on my boyfriend, I hurt everyday because of it. But, I know my pain will never level up to the pain I caused him. But, I'm not going to harm myself even more because of it. I made a mistake and now I'm learning to prevent it from ever happening again.

Just deal with it and get over it. You harming yourself isn't going to make your b/f or g/f hurt less, or have less anger towards you.

-.-'

Look if someone cheated on you and then were soooo sorry that they started cutting, then that makes them even bigger losers.

Next time you see your loser ex-bf, tell him that he's only making things worse for himself. He knows what's a mature response and what's not. Ask him if he thinks cutting is a mature response or is he just trying to gross you out.

This problem is not your fault. They are unstable. What happens if decide to break up later. They will cut on themselves again to get you back. GUILT TRIP.
This is not the person you started going out with originally, I hope.
They didn't say that they would cut themself unless you go out with them. SO, FORGET THEM and make them get over you.

Cheated on you and now looking for sympathy?
Tell him he succeeded with the cheating, but not the sympathy route. Dump him or you will eventually run out of good knives.

I would try to help them but I most certainly would not put my own self respect second to their b.ullshit.. It's not at all your fault that they are cutting and I think that this person is sick and I would not be with someone that wanted to use their sickness to keep me in the relationship :) :) :)

Tell them to get help. He had some deep seeded issues even before he cheated on you.
