The Commander In Chief is the President of the United States. He can be impeached through the representative government. The charges are filed through the House of Representatives, and the trial occurs in the Senate. The presiding judge is the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

Now that the Demoncrats are in office, bet money that they'll try.

Only congress can impeach the President. We could, but thats called armed revolution. Impeach literally means " to accuse" it is just the process where the House of Representatives accuse the President, or other officials of a crime. They are tried by the Senate, and it takes a 2/3rds vote of the Senate to convict someone, and remove them from an office.

Impeachment has to start in the HOUSE and be approved by the SENATE. So far we have had two presidents impeached but neither were convicted. Nixon resigned before being impeached.
