Assuming that you are a member of the church, and follow the churches religious teachings, I'd say that it is not okay to "skip Church."

You don't have to go every time, but you should go at least as reliably as you would go to work.

If you can't do that, then doesn't that say that you value your job more than your religious belief?

Also, going to church should be pleasant and re-affirming. You should want to go, and you should generally feel like you got something out of it.

Now, clearly if you are ill, are caring for an ill person, or have some other obligation, it is acceptable to miss a worship service. But if you can go, you should.

Church is a place to fellowship and worship with others if you keep God in your heart and worship on your own there's then you can skip church once in a great while.

If you feel guilty you might try praying more fervrently and maybe turning to your devotional bible. If you have a fellowshipping class at your church later in the week you can always attend that.

Remember that eventhough Church is Gods home so are our hearts.

I was once told that you can only get ouy of church what you put into church. The more involved you are the harder it is to skip. But everybody needs a break every now and then

Sure. The only thing needed for Salvation is to believe in Christ. It's not a work based relationship, and if you think about it, church is considered work based.

Church is a good way to show your love for God, but it's not mandatory.

You can skip church if you have one in your heart. It is not important to go to church but it is very important to have one in your heart where you can feel that you belong to all the congregations and they also belong to you, where you can love all who are there and where you can feel you are loved by all who are there.

I guess it would be OK if you could lift it and found a pond of suitable size... I skipped for years but never turned my back to God.

Anything can happen to make us miss a few times a year. But the Word of God says that we should not forsake to assemble ourselves together. Ask God for help and guidance. He will give it to you. May God Bless U>

I never go to church, but I am also an atheist. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Only if you are too sick to go, or your taking care of someone that's sick. Or if you are out in the remote areas of the country and there is no church to go to.
