I have midterms starting next Monday. I want to start studying earlier, so I have less anxiety the week of midterms. However, I am very obsessive when it comes to school and getting good grades, yet I stress myself over it in the process. Do you have any tips on how to relax and not over work myself over school? I am especially anxious over midterms, being that they will be 20% of my grade this quarter.

Just start studying ASAP. If you've got time, start right now. Do it for a half hour or so, and you'll feel like you're accomplishing something. After learning lots of material, you'll be like "Hmm, this wasn't so bad. I'll go for 45 minutes tomorrow." If you feel like you're doing something about it, you won't be stressed out. You'll know that you're doing everything you can do. And remember, overworking can actually interfere with your learning aptitude. It's good that you're being pro-active about this. You'll do great.

Learn some relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing, meditation, or progressive muscle relaxation. When we are stressed our heart rate increases and we go into fight or flight (an autonomic nervous system reaction), and the key to relaxation is to get yourself out of that reaction. Slow your heart rate, lower your blood pressure and the subjective experience of 'stress' lowers. You can also try listening to calm music, have a cup of tea, or get a massage. You are wise to start studying early, the better you know the material, the lower your anxiety (should) be. Good luck!!

Study what you need to study and then take a nice long warm bath and just relax and chill and then do something else that helps you relax but remember that tests arent the end of world and you may want to make flashcards of everything just to keep it fresh in your mind.
