According to the New Testament (Bible) it was not the Jews, but Roman soldiers who killed Jesus. They did this in obedience to the orders of Pontius Pilate, the Roman (non-Jewish) governor of Judea. Yes, Pilate washed his hands. But if I wash my hands, does that make me innocent of a crime? Pilate could easily have spared Jesus if he wanted to. But he ordered his soldiers to crucify him. It was not the Jews who killed Jesus. It was the Gentile Romans! Yes, the Jewish leadership participated in this crime: they brought Jesus to Pilate. And there were Jews in the crowd that day shouting, "Crucify him!" Neither of these are commendable actions. But they hardly count as grounds for a charge of murder.

The late Pope John Paul II said: "the erroneous and unjust interpretations of the New Testament regarding the Jewish people and their presumed guilt have circulated for too long".

BTW, I'm not even Jewish. Just some observations...
Why do people blame Jews for everything?

And I know that Christ died from "our sins" (spiritually), but the Romans did physically kill Christ.

Not all the gospels were written by Jews. Luke was a gentile. The early Christians were not pagans who worshipped Jesus. The trinity was not made up yet. There were many false messiahs, so the early Christians were no different than any other gullible Jew who fell for the false messiahs claims. Christians are mostly pagans now, so if a Jew believes Jesus he is also a pagan. Jesus has nothing to do with Judaism, just like Buddha has nothing to do with Christianity. To believe Jesus is the messiah is to reject G-d since G-d made it clear in the Tanakh(old testament) who the messiah is and what he will do. Jesus did nothing, infact he dousnt even come close to fitting the description of the messiah. It even says in the gospel that Jesus broke the sabbath, insulted his mother and let a woman touch his legs. Pretty obvious he is not the messiah.

Judaism has always had a nasty xenophobic underbelly to it that is very distasteful. They have always favored the in group and shunned the out group. Many of the Jewish beliefs such as not eating bacon or lobster have no legitimate religious meaning, but are simply observed to create artificial differences between Jews and the "Goyim" they hate so much. So anti-semitism is largely a reaction to this and stems from Jews' behavior towards non-Jews.

The Jews are easy scapegoats. They tend to seclude themselves from Christians (separate schools, places of worship, neighborhoods), they where different styles of clothing, they speak another language, et cetera. Because of this separation, and by virtue of being "different," Christians tend not to understand them. It's not a huge leap from misunderstanding to fear to hate.

They don't.

It's not like the "Jews" are the only people who suffer racism.
