Some people turn to themselves when they need to vent frustrations. Some people burn or cut themselves, and often it becomes a need habit that's a part of their life like eating daily. It may not be a cry for help, but you should seek counseling for it right away before you wind up doing something worse to yourself. Counseling can help you to re-route your angers and frustrations to more constructive ways dealing with your emotions. If yo can't afford a private physician, go to your community health center. They will have physicians and programs that can help you.

I think you are the best person to answer that question, but if you burn yourself in front of others, or show others your burns then I would guess, yes. If you hide your burns, then I feel there are much deeper rooted problems than just a cry for help.

In some ways it could be.

Burning in a form of self harm. People self harm for eg when they are mad,sad or distressed. It's a way for sme one to cope with feelingds they are not sure how to deal with.

like myself, when i get upset or angrey i cut myself. It my way of copeing.

Its not good for you, and can get worseif you keep doing it. It becomes your only way to cope with anything.

Im not sure how bad the problem is , but perhaps talk to a close friend about it. Its scary i know to te tell some your burning yourself, but you need some suport to help you through...the feeling your are expeirceing.

Its ok, dont feel ashamed or anything. Its just how you cope with anger.

hope this helps you understand.

Burning yourself is a form or Self Injury or Selt Harm. It is a cry for help if you are showing your wounds to others or not concealing them. It's a coping mechanism if you are concealing them, it's just your secret. When you burn/cut yourself it releases energy and adrenaline that causes you to feel 'high' or 'better' its a quick solution to a problem that you are going to have to eventually fix. I wouldn't recomend getting involved in Self Injury. It is a highly addictive habbit. Usually, once you start, you are not able to stop by yourself. You will eventually burn your self worse and worse and worse, and then you'll make the mistake of doing 'it' too bad, and you might need medical help, or you could possibly kill yourself. The Degree system of burns goes by which layer of skin you have burned, ie; First degree- first layer of skin, Seceond degree- second layer of skin and Third degree- third layer of skin. First degree burns are usually the most painful. They will be red and will eventually blister. Run it under COLD water and possibly apply a non oily antibiotic/burn cream. When able, do not dress the wound, let a good supply of oxygen get to the wound. Second degree burns are usually less painful then First degree. They skin may look infected, it usually is leaking pus. Most of the time it will usually blister about 1-5 min after the burn. Run it under cold water and DO NOT dress or apply antibiotic or burn cream to the wound. Get EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE. Third degrees are usually less painful then First or Second degree wounds because Third degree burns cause the most damage to nerves. It will look and smell like burning flesh, charred looking. DO NOT DRESS OR APPLY ANTIBIOTIC OR BURN CREAM. GET EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE!!! Please, since you are burning yourself on purpose to relieve stress, anger, sadness, ect. Please get help. Talk to a family member or your doctor. They can refer you to a mental health specialist and give you the proper treatment. Your regular health physician can address your wound so they can heal faster. PLEASE REMEMBER TO GET PROPER MEDICAL CARE... STAY SAFE!!!! Hope all this helps!

I tried doing the same thing. Its just a lot inside that is aching to get out and burning just happens to be your vent of choice. Try and talk to someone about it in person. If it means seeing a therapist so be it. Ya gotta find a less painful way to vent.

what an idiot that put it is a cry for a mental institution. that is stupid. yes, counseling would probably help. many people do it and some people cut. it is a way of dealing with problems when you do not know a healthy way deal. don't be afraid to get help because they wont lock you away or anything unless you have made a suicide attempt.

It means that you need to learn healthy , non-destructive ways to release your anger. The next time you are that angry try screaming. If you are somewhere where you can't then go into your room and scream into a pillow. It really really helps. After you have done this and calmed down, you are going to need to address the reason why you are so angry.
