the nch.au was okay, but switch converter requires me to download something in particular to do mp3. I just need to get my stuff into mp3 format.

Any virus-free, cash free, unzip/ administrator bypassable suggestions?

Thanks again!

Try iTunes

Go to "Edit"->"Preferences" and select "Advanced." Go to the "Import" tab, and then click the drop-down list that says "Import Using" and select " Mp3 Encoder." Put your wav files into the iTunes Library, and then select the whole bunch. Right-click, select "Convert selection to mp3," and watch your music collection turn to Mp3 files.

As I understand the situation, MP3 is protected by intellectual property laws and cannot be offered for free, for zero bucks. Take a look at Winamp (freeware). It has a very-few-bucks upgrade from free to cheap that adds MP3 capability. Does it do the conversion of WAV to MP3? Dunno, but have a look.
