A dutch oven is always made of cast iron. The pot is big and has a lid, sometimes the lid has a rim to hold the hot coals. It is used in outdoor cooking by putting it in hot coals and covering it with coals. You can bake biscuits, cakes, soups, chicken, etc. You can also use it inside to cook on the range or in the oven.

it's wen yor smokin weed in a long session (hours and hours), and you close all the doors and windows so the room fills up with smoke. til u cant hardly see anythin-dutch oven :)

It is a big heavy saucepan (mine is made of cast iron) that you can put in the stove. I can also put it over the fire-place. It has a big heavy lid and stews food efficiently.

It's a pot with a handle on each side...has a lid...can be used to make soup, a roast, pasta...all kinds of good stuff.
