That's a very good question. I've been through a stalker before also, and I waited YEARS before telling him that I absolutely had no intimate feelings for him and wanted him to stop. I wish I had done it sooner, no matter how much it hurts to do it. It will take them a while to get over it, but it will be better for both of you in the future.
Good luck with everything, and tell your friend to not be so nice for once, and step up to the plate. It won't make her a bad person for doing so.

Choose the smoothest-talking guy you know. Tell that guy to confront the Stalker, informing him politely that his advances are making the Friend uncomfortable. If that's not an option, do it yourself. Or at worst, call the police. But keep in mind that calling law enforcement tends to anger stalkers..

I think all this talk about getting the police involved is a little premature. If your friend won't tell the guy to take a hike, there isn't a whole lot the police can do.
Maybe your friend feels sorry for the guy. Unless she is interested in dating him, the nicest thing she can do is tell him to get lost.

See if the owner or manager of the coffee shop will tell him to leave but then tell him that she is going to file a police report if he doesn't stop and do it!! I could give you thousands of stories of stalkers murdering the ones they have stalked! This is something to take very seriously!!

Maybe he wants to be friends. Maybe he wants to be her boyfriend. Maybe he's a deranged killer.
Your friend needs to just face him. Maybe say something like, "How come I always see you around all the time? Aren't you busy with your girlfriend?"
"I don't have a girlfriend..."
"Oh I thought you did... I was out with my BOYFRIEND the other day and I thought I saw you with this girl..."
Hopefully, the boyfriend word will scare him off. If you're worried, make sure your friend lets the police know.

This baby is in obvious favor of interest, in case you ignore about him he would bypass away, yet you should likely alert a counselor because he would have some severe psychological subject matters.

there is this guy who really likes and i turned him down a couple times. he keeps texting me and i feel bad if i tell him no we are never going to happen. but in your case you need to get like the police involved if he is following you. jeez creepy stalker much? but if she doesn't want him to follow her she needs to get the courage and tell him herself/
