my 13 year old does too. i made her add me as a friend so i can look on her myspace and see whats going on.i don't think its healthy,but its hard to stop it when they go to their friends house.so i say if you cant beat them join them

as with anything, moderation should be employed.
you wouldn't eat too much or allow them to stay out too late would you? you need to set time limits as to how long they can be on the 'net. at my home the family computer is in the living room so that we can all see whats going on as well as filters to prevent unwanted behavior, it is also networked to my home office so when I'm working i can see where they go and if there is anything i deem inappropriate i can shut them down (i bought the computers, i pay for the connection, i can do what i feel is best for my family). to answer the question directly, no it is not healthy,
and yes as someone said you need to set up you're own account.

myspace is like this whole phase most kids will go through so eventually people will stop using it then you wont have a problem. but to answer your question i dont think its healthy
