Pneumatic units are also an important part of heavy lifting equipment such as forklifts and cranes, but those are probably not part of your everyday life.

In the US the most common unit of pneumatic PRESSURE is pounds per square inch or psi. Also used is the Bar or one atmospheric pressure - 14.4 psi.
