There are many resources available to learn about taxes. Any book store will have guides, check them out. Public library, same thing.

If you want to attend class, the large tax prep firms have courses which are free or low-cost. Some of these courses have a greater emphasis on their operational aspects of tax preparation, and some of them are pure tax theory. So ask before signing up.

There are tons of sites on the Internet where you can take online courses in individual income tax preparation for low cost.

You don't file property taxes.....your local town assessor determines the assessed value of your property and then when the town announces the tax rate for the year, your property taxes is determined by the tax rate multiplied by your property assessed value.

As for income taxes, you can take a tax class from your college's business school (it is an accounting class). If you're talking about ALL of the taxes, that can take a lifetime. Just looking a federal itself, you have income taxes, and individuals, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts, and charities all have their own separate forms. Then you have returns that are required to pay in for the various excise taxes that the government assesses.
