NonChristians even some liberal Christians seem to have a problem with the bible's stand against homosexuality or try to explain it away. But why does everyone agree with the rest of the bibles sexual behavior guidelines like not sleeping with another man's wife or not sleeping with your mother or step-mother (step-father) or not sleeping with a goat or sheep.

Well only find it bad because they want the gay marriages to be something you can do in the church. The Bible says that only one man and one woman should be married to each other but most people who want gay marriages don't want that at all.

If you look at the historical documents outside the bible you may find that alot of people had sexual relationships with both sexes. For the powerful young boys were very avalable. It was probably more to chastize the immoral upper class of the Roman Empire and its ruling tributaries and not so much the actions of homosexualality that we know today.

because if you're gonna use the bible to say what is good or bad, you then would be in favor of selling your first daughter to slavery (Exodus 21:7-11) stone your brat son to death (Leviticus 20:9) killing anyone who works on a Saturday (Exodus 35:2) and to send anyone who ever played football to hell, because "touching a pig's skin is an abomination" (Lev.11:6-8). So if you're gonna say that homosexuality is bad because the bible says so, then you must also agree with the previous statements
Plus remember, if God created Adam and Eve and only Adam and Eve, and they had children and their children had children, then someone was doing his sister, which means incest is fine too

Because not everybody accepts your version of reality, religion, etc. as being "fact". Everybody believes different things and they have a right to. What people DO agree upon are acts that cause actual (note I said ACTUAL) HARM to other beings, or creatures. That's where the ethics come from... an agreement and understanding that some things are actually considered harmful and some things aren't. The only people who perceive being GLBT as "causing harm" are those who refuse to have an altruistic heart, instead shoving their own views, which they wrongfully perceive as somehow being the only views that are "correct".
Why is it that Christians and other religions refuse to practice patience and ALTRUISM which are the CORE lesson within every religion? Why the bashing, namecalling, denial of civil and human rights and so on?
May you find wisdom, knowledge, altruism and freedom from suffering.

This isn't the only thing in the Bible that people, even Christians, have tendencies to argue. People argue about the Bible's stance on premarital sex, whether or not it deems a fetus a human being, etc.

Because people have heart trouble, their heart is not right w/God and they get upset when they are convicted. Read the Bible, God is very, very clear on His stand on homosexuality and other sexual deviants. Liberal Christians need to actually READ God's word and apply it to their lives. Psalms 119:11 "thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee"

Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. People like to pick and choose what is convenient for them. It won't be so convenient when they stand before the Lord though. Not only do those who try explain away the law to fit them sin by the breaking of those laws, but also for trying to change God's word and for misleading others. 3 strikes!

The World of mankind doesn't want to have their moral dictated to them by anyone.........even Almighty God!
