ima make some cookies but i dont have a stick of butter, i just have butter in a tub. (margireine)

do not use tub butter for cookies- it is best to substitute vegatable shortning or veg oil than to use tub butter

but 1 stick of butter is equal to 1/2 cup

I wouldn't use margarine in the tub. It's not for baking and most of it is made from water not oil. Your cookies will not turn out the same
