It's not bad, but a few things you should know first. It's a 4.3 liter V6, which has plenty of power, but consumes fuel like a V8. Don't expect more than 15-16 MPG highway most of the time. If it's 4WD, make sure the front and rear differentials have been maintained (fluid flushes, etc.). Also check maint. on the transfercase if 4WD. I both work for GM and personally owned a 2002 Blazer (brother to the Jimmy) and it was a solid vehicle, which seldom had any major issues. Just keep up with maintenance and it should serve you well. Oh yeah, and the interiors can be a bit noisy, I guess because of all the plastic trim... Good luck.

if it has been well maintained they will last a long time, my dad has 96 S10 blazer (same thing) with 175,000 miles and he has had to put the normal stuff..starter alternator, fuel pump.. brake booster and an axle bearing went bad but other than that its excellent , my employer has a 98 blazer with 140K on the clock and other than the normal parts to replace every so often its been excellent, i would highly recommend it

Its not an SUV anymore, now it is transportation. If you rebuild the motor will last 150,000 miles.
