Huh...!! This is ironic because I speak Russian fluently and been to Russia a million times and I assure you not even the ugliest girls there gives a flying rat's *** about me as a foreigner. Conclusion: Language has never been an important factor in dating and relationships. Good luck to you anyways.

You need to find Russian speaking friends that will speak to you only in Russian, btw, I can be one of them.. lol
The other thing that will help you to learn language faster is TV and radio. I know that it might cost you some money and unfortunatelly in US only one satelite company offers a Russian pack it's Dish Network. You will have to get a simple english pack and attach Russian to it, than they have 18 months contract, etc.

When I tried to learn English I got me a satelite TV and blocked all channels with translation, so I watched Discovery, BBC, Animal Planet, VHI (Europe). First of all channels like this have very proper English and it will help to boost vocabulary.

My son started to speak English fluently in 2 months. :) Speaking is the key.
The conclusion: you need Russian speaking friends who speak English as well. In this case, they will be able to explain to you if you don't understand something. :)

Need help - email me. Good luck

We can't tell you how long it will take. Its impressive that you mastered reading in 3 days. To master the language (and accent), you almost have to live in Russia. You might learn the basics in a few months, but it takes years to become fluent if you aren't born into it.

First you need to speak it slow! Just kidding. Is there a course at your school that you can take? If not, how about showing some interest to your crush and learn it that way?

PImslar CDs,
Go up to the guy and say
"Privet, cho delayesh?"
That is the "cool" talk for "hey wassup?" or "hey, how are you doing?"
also
Ya tebya lublu (That means "I love you")
and
Privet " hi"
and if you want to insult him (you know how insensitive guys are these days, say "Durak" which means "idiot".
