it's hard... i was on a 3-year relationship and ready to move on, but i knew we wouldn't be able to stay away from each other unless a big changed occured. so what happened?? i moved to a different country and started life over. if you have the guts to do that (maybe only a different city or state), you will have the opportunity to meet new people and get some time for yourself. keep your old routine might be too painful.

Do not stay in a relationship that does not feel right. If need be tell him that you feel that the two of you should be apart for a while to see how the relationship will go. If you continue on in the relationship with negative feelings, it will hurt you in the end. You could possible marry the guy, thus resenting him and hurting the marriage. Then you may even have children and resent the children. So think this through and use your own judgment.

5 years is enough to come to a new decision. If you like each other you should take responsibility and marry. Otherwise, see what you like to do with your life. The longer time you stay together, the less control you will have with the rest of your life. You will be the loser in the end not him as it's easier for him to find a new girl but when you reach 40 then many things have already become impossible for you.

Communicate with that person and see where it goes from there. Talk about how they think the relationship is going and slowly tell how you are feeling. Just be honest with yourself. Do you picture yourself with this person when you're older? If not, then time to leave. Someone has to get hurt one way or another, so you may as well just do it.

You shouldnt stay, because if you wanted to stay you wouldnt ask the question. Relationships end all the time, when one door closes another one will soon open! Tell him straight you feel your lives are heading in opposite directions and you want some independants.

All relationships will experience a dry spell. I think this is what they mean by for better or for worse. You should find the book that Gary Chapman wrote called the Five Love Languages. I think it's possible the answer you're looking for is in it.

Follow your instincts! After 5 years, you definitely know all you're going to know about this person. If you're not happy you have to move on. You're probably just unsure because it's scary to be alone! I think in a short amount of time you'll be relieved you made the break, and kick yourself for not doing it sooner....life's too short!

First decide what you want. If you find yourself regreting the relationship more than enjoying it then you know its time to pull the plug. If you only have a few small doubts, talk to your parener to find out what they see in the relationship and if they feel the same way as you do.

trust me, if you feel it is the one then don't go anywhere.
you will hate yourself if you leave and he gets another girlfreind, then you realize that you really did love him. don't mess up your heart for no reason.some people find love a bunch of times, some are only lucky enough to find it once.
if you love him, then stay with him, and if you don't, then leave, but if you think you love him and aren't sure, talk to him and tell him how you feel. if he is the same way, then stick around.
