Which Purdue location are you talking about? If you want to know about Purdue University in West Lafayette, here is what you wanted to know:

Average High School GPA: 3.5
Average ACT: 25
Middle 50% ACT Composite Score: 23-28

The "middle 50%" means that 25% of the applicants accepted scored higher than that amount and 25% of the applicants accepted scored lower. And the average indicates the mean of every admitted applicant's GPA. So aim to get a GPA around a 3.5 by your junior year and an ACT score of at least a 23.

If you get lower than that, it doesn't mean that you won't get in. Purdue admissions officers will also look at other factors to determine whether or not they should admit you. These things will also help you get into Purdue:

--Taking difficult (honors and AP) courses
--Your class rank (28% of admitted students were in the top 10% of their class, 61% were in the top 25% of their class)
--Being a member of a minority race
--Living in Indiana
--Having a lot of extracurricular activities, especially ones with leadership positions
--Getting good recommendations from teachers

Let me know if West Lafayette wasn't the school you were talking about. Then I'll see what I can find about another Purdue.

Everything that was in the other answer and also they also look at what type of school you're coming from, extra activities you did, volunteering, and internships. Purdue prides itself on diversity, so if you have some unique things on your application that show you didn't just go to school, but you also were active outside of school by doing charity work or internships they will look favorably on that!
