America was started on Christianity. Last time I checked, Christianity is still around.
Get your facts straight.

son, you're just a mess of contradictions, flawed reasoning, and hyperbole, aren't you???? where to start, where to start...let's see 'get religion outta the USA and allow Free-thinking again'...if you don't catch the irony in THAT bit of drivel, there's no hope for you....and as for that bit of 'not a semblance of order that WE THE PEOPLE...' i'm not entirely sure just WHAT you're getting at...we didn't become the greatest nation by simply rejecting kings and kingdoms...it took a lot of hard work, hundreds of years, and the sacrifices of millions...and i would wager that a goodly percentage, if not a majority, of those people were people of faith...not all the same faith, denomination, or sect...but people who recognize that only a fool worships that which is of this world and will pass away, be it money, power, fame, a political system, a nation...as great as this nation is, it is not the 'be all and end all' of all existence...it, too, will eventually fall by the wayside...only God is eternal
by the way, in your worship of this great nation, have you perchance given a thought to reading any of the documents upon which it is based? i would suggest that a good place to start would be the constitution-you will find reference to freedom of speech AND freedom of religion...if you're more into the 'ban religion' school of thought, check out the old soviet union sometime...see how well THAT worked out-God bless you, get back to your studies

Name a government that continues to thrive following God...hmm, ok...The United States of America. We are a nation that respects religious freedom. It's in the Constitution. Though most recently, these values have been greatly challenged. We do not answer to 'earthly' kings...If through religion, we do answer to a king, that king is God. Most of us do not 'worry' about the here after, we look forward to it. Many refer to it as 'going home' after our work here is finished. Has organized religion done damage, of course it has. But so has disbelief, and you would appear to be the prime example of that, given your angry statements. We are free in this country to do good, whether that good is driven by religious belief, or other moral conviction. Or, we can choose to be hateful, resentful people who look for ways to vent that anger on the world. Our nation is based on the value of free choices, let's hope we make the right ones.

You are really hung up on this "King" thing. You are also misinformed. Christianity is all about liberty and freedom. The Constitution also says freedom OF religion, not from it. The government is not to prevent the free exercise thereof (of which certain judges have undermined our constitutional rights). It can not sponsor a government or state religion, but it is to allow religious expression. Our young government has continued to thrive following these mandates. Semper Fi - God and Country!

The nation of Israel was condemned by God for asking for a KING instead of being submissive to the prophet that was sent by God.
later the King of Israel was condemned by a prophet and thenation was divided into two parts.
Such is the whole existence of mankind. No one has the authority to be a king, and no king has ever been the fullness of righteousness. Well? maybe there were a few that came close.
the term King of Kings shows the title of a somone that reigns supreme over the earth. there is no one Higher in position of authority and power.
The president of the U.S. is no more than a puppet, how can there be anyone in mortality that can serve in righteousness.

Do you have any clue why people came to the Americas? It was not to leave a King it was for religious freedom. I suggest you return to school and this time pay attention.
Perhaps you should take your anger to another forum. This is a religion and spirituality forum. It shows that you don't have any. If you did you would be more tolerant.
I would not come to your house and crap on your kitchen floor.
We both know you really have no clue what your talking about.

Our nation was based on God and that is why we are the most powerful, but the world is under attack by satan and the world is cuming to an end quickly, and al u people out there who thinks that president bush is not a good president, well he has led the world to more peace, by sending our troops out, and if u think that bush is bad for sending them ur wrong because those people chose thier careers. The reason we are doing so well as a country is becuase of God. other countrys that base themselves on other Gods dont work out becuase God is the only God, the reason the world is so messed up is becuase of all the sin, and there is nothing we can do but pray
ill pray for u

Because the King of England wanted to keep us in bondage; God wants to free us from it. And this Great Nation was founded for the purpose of freedom of religion.

I think that the WORD OF GOD has an answer for you!
(Jude 1:17-to-19) But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
(Jud 1:18) How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
(Jud 1:19) These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
Thanks, RR

Read the old testament, God didn't want us to have kings, we insisted.
Sure, we could be just like China, no religion, no freedom, wouldn't that just be hunky dory? Better yet, it would be a whole lot easier if you just moved to China. Believe it or not, freedom in the US isn't just your freedom, its for everyone, even us religious people, though apparently, you want it changed to fit your particular desires. Unfortunately, that wouldn't be freedom.

Absolutely! The whole idea of a "kingdom in heaven" is absurd! I bow down to no king!
Also, the US was not founded on Christianity. That is a myth.
Many Religious Right activists have attempted to rewrite history by asserting that the United States government derived from Christian foundations, that our Founding Fathers originally aimed for a Christian nation. This idea simply does not hold to the historical evidence.
Of course many Americans did practice Christianity, but so also did many believe in deistic philosophy. Indeed, most of our influential Founding Fathers, although they respected the rights of other religionists, held to deism and Freemasonry tenets rather than to Christianity.
