Counterfeit Christianity is probably the best description I can give for a cult. Counterfeit Christianity is an imitation of real Christianity. Bible terms like "Jesus Christ, Resurrection, Salvation, and Atonement" are used by the Cult, but entirely different meanings have been assigned to these terms by the various cult groups.
Like counterfeit money which is sometimes difficult to detect, so it is difficult to detect counterfeit Christianity, since it looks like the real thing. Experts examining counterfeit money often hold it up to a strong light and look for identifying marks. Counterfeit Christianity also has identifying marks which can be seen when held up to an even stronger light, the light of God's word, the bible.
We are at an advantage if we know what to expect from a cult. Cultists are very well trained to appear "Christian", and indeed believe they are the true church, and you need the deliverance! Therfore, be bold and ask the question, "Do you believe the group you represent is the only true church on the face of the earth?"
If they reply that they are, or if they are evasive, making remarks like "Well, every church has a measure of truth but...", you have made an early detection of a Cultist.
Every true Chistian, if asked the same question, regardless of his denomination, would reply that the true church is comprised of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and HE (not some organization) is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, (John 14:6). No legitimate denomonation would claim that they alone and their members have salvation exclusively, but the cults (the counterfeits) do.

You made some valid points in your argument, however one
important aspect we can't forget in identifying the true religion from the numerous false religions is by their "fruits" that is spoken of in Matthew 7:15-17. Jesus indicated that "every good produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit." This is a very serious matter for in verse 19 of the same chapter every tree not producing fine fruit gets destroyed! Once again in verse 20 the point is reiterated that by their fruits you'll recognize them.
Here is some main identifying marks of false religion.
MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: " Across Asia and beyond," says the journal Asiaweek, "power-hungry leaders are cynically manipulating people's religlioug sentiments for their own needs." As a result, the journal warns: "The world threatens to sink into madness." A prominent religious leader in the United States declared: "You've got to kill the terroists before the killing stops." His solution? "Blow them all away in the name of the Lord." By contrast, the Bible says: "If anyone makes the statement: 'I love God,' and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar." (1 John 4:20) Jesus even said: "Continue to love your enemies." (Matthew 5:44) How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?
SPREAD FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul or spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. By means of this teaching, many of these religions exploit their members, charging money to pray for departed souls. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. "The soul that is sinning_it itself will die." (Ezekiel 18:4) "The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all." (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected_ an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. (John 11:11-25) does your religion teach that the soul does not die?
TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: In Western lands, church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy and urge governments to recognize same-sex marriages. Even churches that condemn immorality have tolerated religious leaders who have sexually abused children. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: "Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men... will inherit God's kingdom." (1 Corinthians 6:9,10) Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex?
Hopefully the above information makes it VERY clear what false religion is. The link below should help identify what is the true religion and what good fruit it should proudce.

it truly is thoroughly incorrect. a million. all those who talked about Christ grow to be born those who did not will under no circumstances get a body 2. all anybody is God's little ones and equivalent in his sight. 3. in the Bible Cain's relatives grow to be cursed after killing able. this does no longer advise that each and each human being black anybody is cursed by using any skill. only because the Jews are not the in trouble-free words little ones of God. in the circumstances of the bible issues were very literal. Mormon's are taught that if we manage others poorly or in a unique way (noticeably because of their faith or dermis colour and so on.) we are no longer in tremendous condition for heaven.

If the church does not oppose contraception, its a false church. If the church promotes natural family planning, that is a good sign, but not the only one.
ONE
HOLY
UNIVERSAL
APOSTOLIC
These are the marks of God to look for. Most churches have some, or parts of each. But only one Church has the fullness of all four, with the evidence. To find out, see:

Remember what Jesus said to his disciples?
John 15:17-21 "“These things I command YOU, that YOU love one another. If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU. Bear in mind the word I said to YOU, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also. But they will do all these things against YOU on account of my name, because they do not know him that sent me."
Who sent Jesus? It was Almighty God Jehovah.
True Jesus' followers would not participate in politics (not part of this world). Because Satan being the ruler of this world, all the earthly kingdoms belong to him.

For the hundredth time, stop referring to the Gospel as "the good news" it never meant such a thing.
Calling it good news is to say ignore being responsible for your transgressions just scream "Lord, Lord Jesus has paid for my sins, and I am going to Heaven-- and that is the good news"
If you incorrectly call it the "good news" then you are just one step away from misunderstanding the expression "believe in him". To believe in him does not mean to believe his crucifixion and death and rebirth. Proof: Satan believed that, does that make Satan a Christian. Of course not. And neither does it make anyone a Christian.
The "Gospel" originally and always means "Good message" not "good news"
To "believe in him" originally meant to believe Jesus' message. It does not mean what Bubba preachers teach, ie it means that you believe he existed etcetera.
Unless you study Jesus' actual words and grasp his message, you are not a Christian, no matter how loud you scream "Lord, Lord, you are my savior"
Now, get on with your question: But don't give us any more of that "good news" misinterpretation of "Gospel".
Added: Anti-Christ? Paul was the anti-Christ, he concocted that mumbo jumbo to extend and build his empire among people who didnot want to follow the 10 commandments, or to be circumcised to join his church. He also complete ignored Jesus' message about forgiving others, or "your father in Heaven will not forgive you".
All church empires teach Paul, because he knew how to build and grow a religious empire. specifically, say anything to get a person to Join.

If it does not have Apostolic Succession, if it got its start after the NT books were written, if it does not hold to oral tradition (2Thes. 2:15), if it does recognize that Jesus entrusted His flock to Peter (John 21:15-17), and if it does not recognize the authority of Peter's successor, it is a FALSE CHURCH.

And what did Jesus say when His disciples showed you attitude?
38 ¶ And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

I agree with you that we should know how to identify false churches/teachings to avoid being led astray.
Speaking on conditions of churches in the last days (today), an ancient prophet wrote the following:
"Churches shall contend one with another… and they shall teach with their learning, and deny the Holy Ghost … and they say unto the people: Hearken unto us, and hear ye our precept; for behold there is no God today, for the Lord and the Redeemer hath done his work, and he hath given his power unto men;
Yea, and there shall be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die; and it shall be well with us.
And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God—he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God.
And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well—and thus the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell.
And behold, others he flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none—and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful chains, from whence there is no deliverance." (2 Ne 28)
He goes on to counsel those who may reject the word of God,
"Wo be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we need no more of the word of God, for we have enough! For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.” (2 Ne 28)
Matthew teaches us to watch and be ready. Peter and Paul each advise to beware of false doctrines. You are right, it is important to identify false teachings so we can continue to follow Christ.
