Depending upon the branch go to the TOP enlisted guy on base; he/she generally works for the base CO. NOT the clerk, but the Master Chief or "TOP". Look for an E-9

With three tours they will be happy to HELP and make a lot of the CRAP vanish because people just do what they say without question.

Good Luck and THANK your husband for SERVING.

If you are at 32nd street I might be able to help. Email details if you want.

From reading alot of the other answers you have gotten i think everyones overlooked the fact that your husband is in Iraq and you are asking how to get a job there. It sounds like alot of them think hes on a base here in America. READ CLOSER PEOPLE LOL.
Anyways do you think thats a good idea? Havent you seen those videos of what Al Qaeda does to contractors they catch in Iraq?
Think about this again. What does your husband think of this?

Call Halliburton. LOL
Seriously....lady. Stay at home. Your husband probably wouldnt be thrilled with you coming to a war zone. I wouldnt. Its a war zone. Its not safe. Does your husband even know you are considering this? Not to sound hostile but let him do his job. I know you hate being apart but the best thing you can do is support him from home so he doesnt have to worry about you getting hurt in Iraq. He probably has enough on his mind as it is.
I have heard cases of family members, even husbands and wives who have lucked out enough to be stationed near each other in Iraq. But they are so busy they dont get to spend any time together.

Yes all bases have a Human Resource Center with all the jobs posted for that base. I don't know what base your husband is stationed at but if it's Camp Pendleton Ca, the number is (760)725-4111.

All those jobs are taken care of by contractors from places like the Philippines and Thailand. They're paid $300 to $400 a month.

In Iraq? You can't all of those jobs are contracted out to foreign companies, usually. If you are talking about the base your husband's company is out of, then try AAFES.com under employment.

umm, first of all.. you cannot be sent to work at the same location your husband is deployed to.. so that's not even an option.

otherwise, you would have to get a job as an independant contracter with any of the companies that have been given contracts to proivde services to the deployment location.

where abouts are you stationed [roughly of course] and what is he in........from experience it is REALLY hard to get jobs at the base without knowing some one...........have yet to meet anyone that actually got the many jobs offered at the comm.

each base should have a site that you can look at what jobs are open and what requirements are needed.I would not limit your self to just base jobs tho,

Good luck
