She should knit or something. Maybe take daily walks, get into crafts, or get something just to move to!

Scrapbooking is a fun way to have something to do. It's easy and doesn't take much time to start doing it. Also just turning on some fast dance music like disco or 80's Hip Hop while cleaning around the house can keep me from feeling bored. Maybe even go outside for a walk around the neighborhood. The options are limitless.

It really depends on where your from. Small towns usually there is something going on through the day she could get involved in, bowling, charities, card clubs, church activities. Larger metropolitan areas, YWCA has several activities for women to get involved in. Maybe a part time job would help her. I'm not very crafty myself but I love to garden. We also have pets, pets take a lot of energy to keep up with. She could go to senior homes or day-care centers and volunteer a few hours a week.

My mom got a membership to a gym. She goes there during her free time which she has a lot of. She also visits her friends a lot.
