Companies claim they're losing money putting toys in cereal boxes and some companies were warned that the small toys might be harmful to kids. Afraid of any law suits, most Companies have refrained from placing toys in cereal boxes.
Some are still taking that risk and are making kids very happy to find a toy in the bottom of the box.
(I remember those days).

RIGHT! Cereal companies are getting cheap! Back in the day, all cereals had cool stuff inside, even the cereals that I hated like Corn Flakes and Wheaties!

Because all of us have grown up (at least I think so) and now the widdle kiddies are too smart for those silly widdle games any more.
Now they put in stuff for us big kids. Like ankle weights.
I wonder how heavy that makes the box.....lol

We do get them here in India, and my 10 year old gets after us to buy each and every flavor and brand and has a huge collection of bayblades and pokemons and what have you. Getting him to eat the stuff is a problem.

They had to cut costs because the design department was so expensive. A brilliant idea like a circle of grain with a hole in it doesn't come cheaply.

because now you have to collect 6 box tops and send them in along with $5.95 for shipping, that way you spend more money

The CEOs need to lighten up and become kids again!
