Dreaming every night is normal, and so is having nightmares. PTSD is a type of anxiety disorder: many of its symptoms are also symptoms of other, more common, anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety disorder. What makes PTSD unique is that it arises from a traumatic experience that a person has had. Someone with PTSD will typically have flashbacks about that traumatic event. For instance, you might have PTSD if you have repeated nightmares about an event that happened to you, and if you have times when you are awake and have "flashbacks" to that event, even though it happened months or years ago. A flashback happens when you have a very vivid memory of the even--you may feel or think that you are experiencing the event, even though you're not.

Unless you have flashbacks, it may be more likely that you have generalized anxiety disorder or social anxiety disorder. It sounds like you are having symptoms of those, so I would recommend seeing a psychiatrist so that she or he can help you; if you have PTSD, working with a therapist is also important.

I hope you feel better soon!

yes it is ok to have dreams and nightmares, but i can not tell you if you are suffering from PTSD, which i have myself. you really need to go and see a professional that works with this and have them tell you. The nightmares, are usually from something that is really buging you, and if you can not resolve them, then maybe a professional can help you. The outbursts sounds like a anger problem and they do have anger managerment . So try that for that problem. Just looking up systoms, sometimes people think that they know what they have by doing that. so just go to a professional and let them talk to you and tell you want is going on , and what they think you have.
