give them some space and time. when someone is really hurt they need time to be able to speak in a way that won't be negative.

Sometimes when you tell someone you are sorry and you have said it so many times it gets harder and harder for them to except your apology. Since this person will not talk to you may be you can try writing a letter. Don't start the letter off by saying you are sorry, sometimes that word believe it or not turns some people away if they hear it all the time and the same thing keep happening. If the letter doesn't work may be you can have someone to talk to this person for you. When you two are talking again explain to the person how valuable the relationship is to you and how you plan to take steps to make it better so you don't keep going down the same road. Remember that everyone has feeling and sometimes you can get tired and just need a break away from the relationship. Doesn't mean the person doesn't care. A relationship has to be taken seriously no matter what kind it is. Don't ever take it for granted. Take each person in your life for whom they are. Love each person in the special way that they need your love. This love will return to you. Don't worry about putting in so much and not getting anything in return. The love you put out to you friends and love one will always in some way return to you.

It depends on what happened for someone you know not to be talking to you even when you apologized. It maybe awhile before you can get them to talk to you to a point where things are back on track, sometimes it is better to let someone thing and clear their head then to talk to them off hand and have them madder at you then they already are.

If you have already apologized then ....its time to play the waiting game, give it awhile. Maybe what ever has happened between the 2 of you will blow over and things will go back to the way it was before.

If its a girlfriend then just buy her some flowers and tell her you want to talk. If it is a friend and you have truly apologised and said that you were wrong for what you did/said - and they still ignore you - then forget them - learn from it and move on. I have found that those who are unwilling to forgive and ignore are very lonely and troubled inside. No one should keep anyone dangling or at their mercy.

Let them cool off, so you apologized, but that doesnt mean that they are ready to talk.

You say to them," Listen I know you are mad and you have every right to be. I am sorry for what I did and when you are ready to talk to me about this let me know." Then walk away and wait. If they come to you then great, if not then they arent ready.

You don't. If you apologized, there is nothing more you can do.
