You'll need to purchase Microsoft Office.

Microsoft PowerPoint is a licensed software, and you must purchase a license in order to use it. I do not recommend only purchasing PowerPoint, but rather getting it in the Microsoft Office bundle. If you just want PowerPoint, its going to cost you: http://www.microsoft.com/office/powerpoint/howtobuy/default.mspx

As another option, you can download the new Office 2007 software for a test. There is a free 60 day trial period for you to try all the software, but if you want to continue using it after that, you will have to pay.

If you do a google search for "download purchase microsoft powerpoint" you will find many sites that advertise PowerPoint for really cheap, such as $40. These are most likely illegal licenses, and I do not recommend purchasing those, as you will most likely get into trouble later on.

Alternatively, if you just want to view PowerPoint files that others have created, there is a free viewer created just for that purpose. It is very straight forward, and a small program. Download and install it from here:

Of course, there are a lot of other tools you can use instead of Microsoft Office... one popular one is OpenOffice, available at http://www.openoffice.org/ . I don't know if they have a tool comparable to PowerPoint, you'll have to research that on your own.

Hope this helps!
