(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth
A common misconception is that Jehovah's Witnesses go from door-to-door because they feel it is their duty to get a householder to "convert". In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses would go from door-to-door even if there were no hope that anyone would change their religion, or even if no one would listen to them!
That is because Jesus Christ specifically assigned the house-to-house ministry to the Christian congregation, with no regard for specific results.
(Luke 10:1,2) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.
Jehovah's Witnesses are trained to direct attention to the bible, and move on when their message is unwanted. Since each congregation in the United States tries to call at every home in its territory at least twice each year, there is strong motivation for them to move on where little interest is shown. Also, the Scriptures help the Witnesses to expect little interest from most:
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Remember, the Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians also. So why are you asking Christians about Jehovah's Witnesses?
You should just be asking this in general instead of singling out Christians.
I actually like to discuss religion with them. It makes for interesting conversation. The ones that I know do not try to convert me and we have very good conversations about JW, Baptists, Catholics, Lutherens, Methodists, Episcopals, Presbyterians, etc., all of the Christian religions and even the non Christains like Muslims, Jews, Bhuddists, Shinto, etc. It is enlightening, to say the least.

never. Jehovah's Witnesses take their queue from the Watchtower. Now some will say its in basic terms a publishing employer, as thought it has no authority over what they suspect. Ask any jehovah witness who ever went against what the Watchower Bible and Tract Society informed them what to have faith, annd see what the outcomes have been.

I am so sick and tired of you. You can't just call them a cult. Would you call the Jews or the Muslims a cult? You get your information from the Bible, right? They would get their information from their own scriptures, duh.
I'm Christians too, and I'm not saying I agree with the Jehovah's Witness's views, but you seriously need to learn to respect other people's beliefs.

Hit on them that usually works. Especially if they are the same sex. I did that when I lived in Cincinnati and they left me alone.
I personally happened to be going to the range the last time they came round. I was walking to my truck with a 9mm in my hand. It was a really good time to tell them that I was prepared to take full advantage of Texas's property rights laws and charge the weapon. I haven't seen them here in a year and a half, but I have seen them in the neighborhood. Sometimes it pays to get labeled a crazy redneck even if it is far from accurate.

I understand how you are feeling, but to get so angry at them is not the answer. Remember, they are lost and misinformed. Just as Islam truly believe what they practice (that is why it is so scary with them) so do all other cult practices. They have mislead. Try to point out truth to them. Maybe invite the JW in and when they show or tell you something, counter it with scripture that proves what you say is God's word. If you are not up to doing that, then pray for them that they will see the truth.
Stay strong and don't let Satan give you hate in your heart!

If they really bother you that much, you can always put a sign on your gate or door stating "ABSOLUTELY NO RELIGIOUS SOLICITORS TOLERATED!" or something like that.
If that fails, you will have to be sneaky about it. Get yourself blacklisted. It worked for us! Now they cross the street to avoid our house!
It works like this: INVITE THEM IN. Be very hospitable, have them sit down for tea or something. Have a BUNCH of anti-whatever literature handy, and just read it off to them. I don't mean anything crass, but show them exactly from the Bible where they are in error in their theology. Don't give them a chance to debate! It's really best if you have some pentecostal friends with you, that can demonstrate speaking in tongues.
They will NEVER come back. Neither will anybody else from their church!

I offer them a beer, and ask them if they want to have sex with me (usually my hubby is standing right behind me when I say this!). Ususally they drop their jaws and walk away. But sometimes it just makes them all the more interested in saving me. If that happens, I tell them politely that I was just joking, and that I'm a witch (which is true...). They take off after that, since their rules of life say that they cannot even talk to a witch, for fear of her sin "rubbing off" on them or something. My hubby used to work with JW, and he wouldn't even touch a Harry Potter book...

Be polite and tell them you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and there is a hell. Most Jehovah witnesses will avoid you if you have a solid knowlegde of God. In addition, find scriptures in the bible which contradict their own doctrine.

Well, if Im just exhasperated about them coming, Ill just close to door, or say "Im not interested". But, being Satanic, if Im angry or hyper or just feel like messing with them, Ill put on my baphomet amulet and ring and toss on my ritual robe, answer and say "You must be the sacrifice". Hahaha, it scares the crap out of them considering in my town they still believe that Satanists sacrifice living things(for those of you who still believe that, it's a crock of BS, made up by the Christians churches and hollywood)
