First lets see what God's Word says shall we, first God is the owner of all this world and He owns YOU as well, and in
Malachi 3:8-11 God says that you rob Him by not returning a honest tith which means tenth by the way. Jesus the second member of The Godhead gave up being a body, and took on and STILL TO THIS DAY has the body of a human when He returned to Heaven for you He kept that body of a human not only for now BUT FOR ALL OF TIME, how can anyone out give God for what He has given, shame on anyone who would keep the means to share the gospel to others about such a great love, the rich young ruler went away sad because He [thought he had] great wealth, you can NOT be rich towards just your self and expect to be in God's kingdom when you have a selfish heart, you must be rich towards GOD, find out more free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com bible quesitons www.bibleinfo.com talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com

Do you get paid for the work you do? Of course! Do you work in a building or a part of your house dedicated for that purpose? Of course! Then why can't a Minister or Pastor also get paid? Why can't the Church service be held in a building dedicated to that purpose?
But there is a more important reason than those above. As King David said, "I will not offer to the LORD my God sacrifices that have cost me nothing."

How would they survive?
If a religion is offering a service that people wish to partake in, someone somewhere has to pay for that service. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Religion is a lot like government in that they need a "tax" (ie, tithe) in order to survive.

as the first answered said, it takes pockets to take the message to other people.
besides, we christians believe that we should give Him a tenth of what we have and we'll receive it later more than what we gave.

Yes. The religions that try to get money out of people are scams and more interested in power and greed. Like Anton Laveys Church of Satan did. It was not even real Satanist because they were just atheist magic doers.

Sure, except that rent has to be paid for buildings, salaries, supplies, insurances, travel expenses, furniture, uniforms, donations to charity, organizing charitable actions...it is a business as much as a spiritual matter.
