On a hot summer day, or after a hard day at the office, or even after working on the house all day...a cold beer is perfect. And hanging out with the guys is definitely beer.
However, wine is better at meal time when dining with the wife. And any time I have to cook, I need a bottle of wine to get through it.

Beer!
A wise man once said “Every meal should have beer. A good meal deserves it, a bad meal needs it!”
I’ve found with people who are “connoisseurs” it’s the origin of the drink that they base decisions on. For instance, wine lovers will also go for brandies and cognacs as they are grape-based. Beer lovers will go for whiskies and single-malts, because its grain based.
Students will choose beer because it’s the cheapest!
But does it matter? Whatever you enjoy, go for it! However, start off with beer and go to wine. If you end off with beer, you are looking for trouble that could have stayed!

It really depends on what I'm in the mood for. Sometimes I couldn't face a pint of beer and a glass of wine is perfect. Sometimes the other way round.

Beer. There is as much variation between beer styles as there is among wine styles, and beer can be paired with food just as well as wine can.
