Did anyone like the immediates after extractions with IV sedation?

I believe you are referring to an immediate denture being placed after having all of your teeth removed with IV sedation. If this is the case, most of the patients I've had with this type procedure have recovered, healed and done very well, even better than the ones who wait to heal after the extractions. The placement of an immediate denture helps to control the swelling and the bleeding keeping the extraction sites covered with the denture. The patient comes back the following day for us to check the extraction sites and clean the areas. At this time we teach the patient how to take it in and out, how to clean it and when to leave it out, we also make adjustment at this time. Usually in about 6 months we reline the dentures. Waiting this time allows the patient to heal completely and changes in the mouth structure to subside. Most all dentists do the immediate denture now unless you request otherwise.
