All the nicely educated Engineers , Scientists , Doctors who come to USA take 10 - 12 years of frustating wait to get the Green Card. Current legal immigration process is rotten but NOBODY in the government even listens to us.

While opposing "illegal" immigration everyone says.... We like LEGAL immigration !!!!!!

Why this double talk ????????????????

Welcome to America. land of the righteous. Why would you want to come here if it is that bad?

Technically it's not double talk. I realize that our immigration process sucks-for lack of a better word. However, we can't have millions of undocumented people either, and certainly with as many people who want to come here people will have to wait at least a few years. What really stinks is that all those doctors, engineers, etc- they aren't the ones getting let in to this country legally most of the time. Many times it's unskilled labor. I don't know how many times I have heard college educated people getting turned down or stuck in the wait and have just given up altogether. We can make it easier, but govenrment policy will likely never favor educated people. In my opinion, I think we should favor educated people, or at least people with significant work experience in a particular field we need.

First off, you are sadly misinformed. There are several ways to skin the cat legally. First opt are Visas and there several kinds that allow anything from temporary stay to residency. The K visa and the V visa are for people who plan to stay. One allows you to stay with a fiancee or spouse, the other to stay with a legalized citizen. There is the green card lottery. The DV lottery. To be born here. Asylum. Marrying a citizen or giving birth to a child is no guarantee. The real problem is money. We do not give a way Visas or Green cards. The lotteries are cheaper than Visas and they should be. Which is why people avoid coming into this country the right way. It's about $$$. And we are not the only people that charge big money for immigration and not the only country with illegal aliens. It costs us more money to support them so they can a least pay to get in the right way until they get on their feet and contribute with taxes. So I do not feel sorry for people that enter the country the wrong way. Deport them.

This is not double talk it's the law of our country. Just because enforcement is not what it should be dosen't mean that it does not have to be obeyed.
The reason you should come here legally is 2 fold. First, you won't have to be looking over your shoulder every day to see if immigration is going to happen to get you today.
Secondly, have some pride and dignity and not make your first act as a citizen a crime.

So doctors are unrefereed to preferred illegal aliens now ? They only want everyone who is in Mexico to have a better life while shouting down at all the Americans punishing them for being successful or didn't go to college for 30 years always the American fault's for the illegal aliens problems

no double talk. we do like the legals. it takes time to be come a legal citizen. and it also depends where you are coming from. ever since 9-11 the govt has been cracking down on just anyone coming in. blame that on the terrorist crazes.

Actually, after 9/11 it is no longer easy for doctors to immigrate to the US.

The misunderstanding is being caused by our government. They are not listening to what the people want, they are catering to illegal hispanics specifically. We are not happy that productive people are being made to wait for so long while this other group gets a nod, a wink, and a free pass.

i hear you buddy, been there, done that...

i am in the states right now, but yet after 6 years still dealing with the immigration because they can't get their sh** straight. once they loose the paperwork, another time its the wrong form, next time its the wrong amount of money it takes to process a form :)

patient, patient.... that's the only thing that keeps you from going insane.
oh and by the way, don't bother and write anybody (like bush, BCIS, senators, DHS,....) it's a waste of time

Immigration does not have to be being treated as a Second Class Citizen. Most open societies have profited from foreign workforce and the US is no exception.

doctors can come here and work pretty easily. get your facts straight before spouting off. the only downfall is they have to comit to servicing a rural population for over two years. if they are willing to do that its not a big deal at all.
