yes, especially since we're going through global warming water shouldn't be wasted. Besides washing the dishes isn't that bad any way

If you buy a really expensive dishwasher, you don't have to wash your dishes b/f you wash your dishes. My mom has the mother of all dishwashers. She puts her dishes in that thing with all kinds of food on them and they come out sparkling every time. I've never had the same luck though w/ my dishwashers, I always find myself pre-washing. You're right it sucks!

Sound like you need a new dishwasher. I could put an entire stew in my dishwasher and the dishes would come out clean.

i like my dishwasher. i have twins and if i can get them to leave me alone long enough to load the dishwasher it is a big help since we use so many dishes. Mine is really good so I don't have to do too much rinsing before I put my dishes in.

Dishwashers get really hot and sterilize way better than dishes soaking in a sink together.

if i had a penny for every time somebody told me "yup, this latest and greatest dishwasher model will actually do your dishes..."
if you bought your own place and you can upgrade and you're willing to experiment, it might be worth a try. but generally speaking, forget 'em
maybe the people who like them use them every day? i personally get enough dishes for one load only about once a week.

I have never washed my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. NEVER.
It seems to me that if you have to do that, the dishwasher needs replaced.

the feeling of dishes washed by hand and dishes washed in a machine are different. some people wash their dishes by hand to get rid of the dirt and grime, and then put them in a dish washer to get a machine clean feel. i think.....

if you put your dishes into the dishwasher as soon as you finish your meal you dont have to
if they stay out for long, wastes become too dry and washing is more difficult
