do I have to pick just one? there are so many choices. If I could only have two types they would be Sauvignon Blanc for white and Sangiovese for Red. Specifically New zealand Sauvignon blanc fro Isabel Estate. For the Sangiovese either LUna Vineyards or Silverado Vineyards both in Napa, California.
My main reason is that both varieties are extremely food friendly and cover the gamut of different cuisines.

Any kind of Italian wine is my kind.But, If I have to pick one,might go with Chianti.Chianti is robust,body flavor,smooth,tasty,full of personality,aggressive.Well, I think you have the picture,now.
