I believe its from the fact that many men prefer blondes. Therefore many men will think them to be better looking and be more willing to do things for them. Which in turn would mean that the blondes wouldn't have to do as much for themselves and wouldn't expand theirselves. This obviously isn't a rule or anything as many blondes are smart, just a possible start to the stereotype.

They tend to ask off the wall questions and play stupid a lot of times. The preppy blondes are the stupid ones who mess it up for all the other ones.

There are all colors of hair that are stupid. And the majority of blondes aren't really blondes. Come to think about it, every true blonde I've really known has actually been very intelligent.

Because people are stupid. That is a stereo type that has existed for a long time and people do not want to let it go.

Yep its just a stereo type. A lot of people are stupid and it doesnt matter if you have blond, brown, black, or red hair.

they`re being stereotypes because they see alot of ditzy blondes on t.v. blondes are actually really smart .. so yeah. .

yes they are...because when they are blonde they assume they are cute..and they think it's cute to be stupid...i am blonde but i don't act like a dip stick
