If you are refering to baking chocolate then;
The bittersweet chocolate is a darker chocolate, and has little or no sugar in it.
Semi sweet is the kind usually used in chocolate chips etc.

Bittersweet has higher cocoa and less sugar. Think darker.
I eat bittersweet chocolate. It is just a little darker then semi. I usually use it for ganache.
Baking chocolate is generally unsweetened
