Transportation
Not only are oceans important
to sustain life, but also for moving
materials that we use. Without commercial ships
and barges, transportation of goods
from place to place would be much
more difficult and expensive. Cities
which have good natural harbors have
always had an advantage, and even
today are some of the largest cities in
the world.

Natural resources
The ocean floor habitat is not as
well known as coral reefs or coastal
areas, but it is very important to all
the organisms that live on the bottom
benthic organisms), as well as
commercially important as well. The
continental shelves and ocean floor
are home to many important minerals,
including oil and natural gas.

The oceans and seas is where the weather takes shape at. It is also the largest eco system on the Planet. There are fishes and mamals that have yet to be discovered in the oceans and seas of this planet.
We actually know more about Mars and the Moon than we do about the Seas and Oceans of our own planet.

the sea is important, because it seperates nations, and if it wasn't there, Britain would sadly be attached to the coward nation everybody knows as france. I'm just glad we have 26 miles of sea to cfross before we even see france!
